Filipino Celebrity Makeup Lines: Hot RATHER THAN

When everyone can’t afford Kylie Jenner’s lip products, Vice Makeup products emerged to save the day. HOT: The bullet lipsticks! Great product packaging, great pigmentation, great quality, plus it’s P195.00 only! NOT: The lip liners. They are extremely fragile and break very easily. It is unlucky that they include Phenomenal Liquid Lipstick, which is a good liquid lipstick, by the real way.

I visited the website at the moment and saw that the liquid lipsticks are now being sold individually. After Vice Cosmetics Shortly, BLK Cosmetics implemented suit. A collaboration with Anne Curtis and Happy Skin’s Jacque Yuengtian BLK Cosmetics aspires to be the modern, busy Filipina’s no- fuss beauty solution. HOT: Creamy Cheek Paint! This milky, pigmented cheek tint lasts and works over and under makeup long.

The creamy matte bullet lipsticks are a must- try too, my Love from the K-Beauty Collection especially. NOT: Eyeliner. Not streaky and waterproof. Eyebrow pencil. Too waxy. CC Cream Stick. Promising, but I’ve no tone match. One of the biggest beauty collaborations this 2018 is between Bilena and the Queen of most Media Ever, Kris Aquino, who has quickly positioned herself as a Facebook celebrity when she finally ventured into interpersonal media.

Kris Aquino released a mini-collection called Life Kit, which contained her essentials: Lipsticks and Eyebrow Pencils. Just this month, Bilena X Kris Aquino Matte Water Lipsticks has launched Ever. HOT: Matte Liquid Lipsticks! Good quality and color; perhaps Ever Bilena’s most pigmented lipstick yet and it’s better than their current releases.

NOT: It isn’t really bad, but the eyebrow products aren’t life- changing. I’m probably expecting more since I’m an eyebrow product lover but hey, it’s affordable and if you are looking for an eyebrow product that just works, then this will be okay. Happy Skin launches Generation Happy Skin, a sub- brand that targets the young segment. Together, they launched the first collection with teenage queen Kathryn Bernardo called Kath X Happy Skin.

The collection is more affordable and features everyday basics with shade personally chosen by Kath herself. HOT: Liquid eyebrow liner! This one has good quality: controllable pigmentation, and great staying power. NOT: Lip and Cheek tint. Nothing spectacular. It’s a basic lip and cheek tint; there are less expensive ones with better staying power and provides the same impact. Mascara. Same thoughts as the tint; it’s something that you’re good ol’ Maybelline mascara can deliver at a much affordable price.

BYS Philippines’ biggest project is Lustrous, a sub- brand manufactured in partnership with one of the hottest young superstars of the Philippines, Nadine Lustre. Lustrous, if you ask me, is a beach- motivated makeup line, which represents Nadine’s love for the character and the beach. As Chief Creative Director of Lustrous, everything from the product packaging right down to the colors and products, Nadine designs.

Lustrous first launched with a complete collection offering eyeshadow palettes, brow products, eyeliners, lip tint, mascara, and brushes. Lately, Lustrous arrived with their latest bullet lipstick/liquid lipstick collection. HOT: Brow Gel. It’s long- lasting and the color suits morena skin tones. Bronzer and Highlight Palette. Great colors and very unique highlighter shades. NOT: Lip Tint. It’s super patchy and can only suit a few skin shades. Brushes. Flimsy handle and sparse bristles, but at least it does not shed and seems very smooth.

Mascara. Doesn’t dry out quickly, but if you want a lower lash mascara that works in lengthening those barely there lashes, this will continue to work. In general, I think these celebrity make-up lines are competitive for international drugstore make-up brands enough. I can’t await another release and, for further celebrity make-up lines/partnerships to come out! What do you consider of my NOT and HOT list?
