Conflict In Our Relationships Matters To God
Are you struggling with feelings that are resentful and bitter against someone? Are you experiencing unresolved discord in a relationship with another believer, an in-law, or a sister or sibling? Maybe it’s someone you did business with. You were in a little group with them Maybe. It might ago have been 8 weeks, two years ago, or 20 years ago. But God desires to cope with it.
The conflict we’ve with each other – and so often divides us – actually matter to God. “God’s Boundaries for Abundant Living” provides a fresh look at the Ten Commandments and will help you discover God’s boundaries for your highest, best, and most abundant living. “Father, make them one once we are One even.
You in Me and I in You and Us in them. Jesus prays this passionately and orders us to love each other because He understands the validity of the gospel is based on whether the world views Christians loving each other. These Philippian Christians – like Paul – was being persecuted just. They were having struggles and conflicts that mirrored those happening in the pagan world.
But in this specific church, the issue revolved around a few women who had been causing a rift throughout the church. We’ve all seen this kind of issue today in our churches, Sunday school classes either in a small group or, right? “You have brought me great pleasure when you came to Christ.

How are we to do this? By having authentic, Christ-empowered unity. In other words, don’t just “put up with each other.” Our unity can’t be superficial; it must be from the heart. This implies resolving our issues, forgiving each other, and looking after one another in the same way Christ loves us: with comfort, tenderness, and compassion. Basically, Paul tells us to follow the platinum rule: Do unto others as God has already done unto you.
The truth is, we have a tendency to approach our issues with a quid pro-quo attitude. We think, “Well, so and so did this to me, so I have every to treat them the same way, right? But God doesn’t want us to take care of individuals who way. The foundation of loving people shouldn’t be how they have treated us – good or bad.
The basis of our love should be a choice. No matter how people treat us, we have to – and can – choose to love. And the basis of our choice to love is how God has enjoyed us. He has urged us. He has come alongside us and forgave us. He has been tenderhearted toward us.
He has chosen to love us even though we were His opponents. So, with today who you should you be reconciled? Ask God to help you through the power of His Spirit to choose to love this person just how He loves you.
